I connected with Stephanie and Michael through Stephanie’s mom who found me online. When I first spoke to Stephanie, I asked her what her vision was for her wedding, how I could best serve her and her fiancé, Michael, and what the wedding day would look like. It’s this point during the client-photographer relationship where emails get long, filled with wedding details, and information is coming left and right from both me and my bride. But Steph was different. Stephanie is my lowest maintenance bride to date. Her and Michael arrived at Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL together just minutes before the ceremony. I stole them to introduce myself and do a few portraits shots before they walked down the isle. We had an outdoor ceremony and due to a last minute venue based changed, poor Michael had sun in his eyes the entire service! But that didn’t stop the magic. Directly following the ceremony, Stephanie and Michael greeted their friends and family and we walked across the park to our reserved tent.
Stephanie and Michael had a honeybee and flower themed reception. Everything was bright, fit for spring and simple, just like this couple! Too excited to bust a move to their 2000-2005 hip hop custom wedding sound track, we skipped first dances and went straight into the best of Nelly and Usher. Congrats Steph and Michael and thank you for being you! I wouldn’t have had it any other way!
