Art & Inez’s Mexican-Inspired Wedding at the Avalon

Please enjoy these beautiful photos of Art and Inez wedding, who were married Friday, April 26th, 2019, celebrating the occasion at the Avalon Banquets in Elk Grove Village, IL.

When asked to describe their wedding in three words, Art & Inez told me “upbeat, amazing, and a ray of sunshine”

The first time I sat down with Inez, she spoke about how excited she was for her wedding day and for her marriage. She explained all of the Mexican cultures that would be involved in her wedding. She talked of all the different and fun traditions that I’ll see at the reception; like the Vivora de La Mar aka the snake dance and Chinelos a traditional costume dancer.

However, one of my favorite parts of their day was the money dance. Within ten minutes Art and Inez were covered with dollar bills and laughing hysterically as their relatives and friends were pinning more cash to them. The photo I took directly following the dance to capture this moment may be my all time favorite photo (see below)!

Art & Inez, I truly hope you are okay if I just stay friends with you for life. I love you both so much and had an absolute blast capturing all of these sweet memories on your wedding day. Every time I see your photo, all I want to do is wrap my arms around you both. Here’s to capturing happily ever after. XO -Amy
